Just when we thought political correctness couldn’t get any worse, news about a North Texas student kicked out of school for wearing an American flag t-shirt surfaces.  Apparently, the symbol was considered to be a violation of the school’s dress code, which requires students to wear solid-colored shirts, with exceptions given to shirts with school logos or those supporting the military.

After this story caught national attention, and with it ironically being the anniversary of the ratification of our Constitution, Seagoville High School quickly rectified the situation by reinstating the child from suspension and redetermining its definition to include “shirts with our nation’s flag on it” as acceptable outerwear.

This story, together with the recent Ahmed Mohamed incident, really puts the soundness of our public school system into question. It is also interesting to note the volume of attention the flag story has received in comparison to the #IStandWithAhmed battle cry, which garnered commentary from political shills across the board, including President Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Could it be that this is exactly the type of censorship and national identity shaming that politicians want to see indoctrinated into the children of our nation?
