America could save half a BILLION dollars on Medicare if medical marijuana were legalized nationwide

For years, those of us who have been awakened to the truth have been championing the benefits of medical marijuana and fighting for its necessary — and let’s face it, inevitable — legalization across the United States.

For purely financial and political reasons, the federal government has been doing everything in their power to prevent their citizens from receiving this incredibly beneficial — and natural — medicine. As unfortunate as this is, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.

A major reason why cannabis was outlawed in the first place was for the powers that be to profit off of competing industries and that same, hidden motive is precisely why it’s still illegal. Hemp was seen as a major competitor and had to be stopped for the social elite to continue lining their pockets. Don’t buy into the Big Pharma narrative that marijuana is a harmful. This has long been proven as false and many have long known that not only is it not harmful, but it’s actually quite healthy.

More recently, those in search of medical assistance have started to explore the medicinal value of marijuana — due in part to the rising prices of prescription drugs. Having been legalized in many states across the country, the stigma of cannabis is slowly fading away as more and more people have been educated on the topic. Yet, the government still refuses to budge on their stance, which is costing the American people hundreds of millions of dollars.

Since many people have stopped taking prescription medication as a result of discovering the many health benefits of medical marijuana, less and less refilling their prescriptions. As a result, there’s substantially less money being spent on these medications — and that includes both individual and taxpayers’ dollars.

Even if you’re not a patient of medical marijuana yourself, it’s time to address the fact that the legalization would help the state of the country all around. From physical and mental health to the state of the economy, cannabis is the answer to many of our problems. So why isn’t it legal yet?
