Despite the utter lunacy of such a concept, the state of California is moving forward with plans to implement a pro-black, anti-white reparations program to allow black residents of the Golden State to get lots and lots of free money from white taxpayers.
There is a statewide proposal called Assembly Bill 3121 that was established in May 2021 and submitted in final form by the California Reparations Task Force to the state legislature on June 29. The 1,100-page report includes suggestions about issuing apologies for black slavery and calculations for determining cash payments.
There is also a local reparations proposal under consideration by the City of San Francisco, where the African American Reparations Advisory Committee issued its final report on July 7. That report includes a lengthy list of recommendations that include a $5 million lump sum payment to each eligible person and an additional $97,000 per year for the next 250 years.
In addition to all that free money, black people in California would also receive cash to pay their mortgages, rent, and commercial insurance if they own a business. California would also sell black people condominiums for $1 each and provide tax abatement on sales tax for the next 250 years – but only for black people.
(Related: California’s reparations plan also involves absolving all deadbeat black fathers in the state of ever having to pay any more child support to their baby mamas.)
Not everyone is thrilled by these reparations proposals, including Tony Hall, who served on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors from 2000 to 2004. Hall spoke with EpochTV’s Siyamak Khorrami, who hosts the “California Insider” program, about what will happen if these reparations proposals get solidified into law.
“I have never seen a more insidious, inane, exploitative, and cruel plan put forth to the American public,” Hall said.
“In San Francisco, you’re asking non-slave owners to pay $5 million to people that were never slaves. The average household is going to have to pay about $600,000.”
When factoring in the additional economic empowerment recommendations presented by the city’s advisory committee, those figures balloon even further.
“That’s not counting the $97,000 every year for the rest of their lives,” Hall explained. “That’s not counting the free education. That’s not counting the forgiveness of all debts.”
“That’s not counting the right for them to buy a house in San Francisco for a dollar. It’s a joke.”
In the first year alone, San Francisco’s reparations plan would cost the city about $175 billion, with an annual budget of nearly $14 million thereafter. This is obviously impossible and will never last as eventually – and rather quickly – California will become a bankrupted state that completely collapses.
“This is a lot of unrealistic, pie-in-the-sky promises,” Hall added. “It’s stuff that could never happen, and these people on the task committees know this.”
Experts say that based on all the figures contained in these reports, the average black Californian would receive an astounding $1.4 million from taxpayer coffers. The total cost to taxpayers per year would be around $800 billion, which is nearly triple the state’s current overall annual budget of $312 billion.
“We’re looking at something that’s potentially twice as big of the budget. What happens if we’re forced to pay that out?” Hall said.
“In the first year, we’d do away with California, and you’re doing away with the goose that lays the golden egg. There will be no money left to pay for services, roads, policing, nothing.”
